Making Money by Copy Pasting Articles

November 11th, 2009

I am writing this blog to see how fast I can write. It is 9:13 PM in the night of Nov 11, 2009. I have nothing special to write today in my mind. I figured out that there are a lot of people writing on Associated contents for money. Associated contents is supposed to pay upfront to the article writers for original contents.

As it often happens, people are being attracted towards associated contents for the sake of money rather than for any substantially new content that they have to offer. As a result they are not writing. They are just rewriting. I am reminded of my 10th grade English Literature subject where we had to write explanation to a prose or a poetry. We used to read books and we had to reproduce it in the examination. There was not much intelligence in it. In the examination however, you, at least had no written material in front of you. Whatever you wrote has at least some originality.

At associated contents people are not even rewriting. They are rearranging the sentences. Go to digital point forum. Another website where people are buying and selling articles. People are claiming that the articles are “original” in content and copyscape passed. It is true that they do pass copyscape. However, most of them are not original.

The culprit behind all this mess is the google and online advertising biz. People are writing, rewriting , republishing and getting their content published to get a pie of the share in the online market. Copyscape pass means just do not copy paste – it means copy modify and paste. It is yet another inefficiency that a writer has to go through. I would have liked had someone just copied pasted. At least it saves writer’s time. But you have to show that you are original. So what you do – you copy rearrange the words, possibly rearrange the sentences and republish it. You post it on Associated Contents and you get paid $2 for it.

This is the reason I hate internet. This is the reason I hate google. A person writes a content. A great content. But he is not a SEO expert. His content is never read by anyone. Then someone creads his content. He copies modifies and repost his. The person in a SEO expert. He analyzes what people are searching for. He selects its title carefully. Then he creates backlinks. The original author never comes to light. I hate plagiarism. But more that plagiarism I hate the pseudo originality that is claimed by many writers.

By the time I am finishing this article it is 9:27. I am writing it on a note pad. But I need to do some spell check, so I am copy pasting in on words. Hope this is not construed as plagiarism. As I finish the spell check, I am counting the number of words. There are about 500 words in this article. It is 9:31 PM here. That means it took me about 20 minute to write this article.
