Hubpixed up and running

This weekend I had a chance to assemble and test the Hubpixed board that I had talked about over a month ago. If you have purchased or used the $5 Raspberry Pi Zero board, you know that it is a useless stuff unless you hook up a Hub. You need a Keyboard, a Mouse and a Wife in a typical set up. Raspberry Pi has only one USB port and that also not regular Type A connector but a USB Micro connector.

There are external USB Hubs ( powered or otherwise) available in market that you can use with Raspberry Pi, but then the two separate boards destroy the beauty of this slim board. Some other solutions try to us a similar size board and use a USB Micro Connector.

This is where the Hubpixed comes in. The key design element are the 4 mechanical spring connectors that seamlessly connects to the test points available on the bottom side of the board. Everything aligns and fits in nice.

This is the video showing the working Hubpixed and its details.
