If you want a social networking site, look no further than Dzoic Handshake Professional .
I definitely recommend Dzoic Handshakes. Have used it for 2 sites, and had some nice experience with it. It is good if you know some php so you can customize it if you are not happy with some of the out of the box features, but this would be highly unlikely. PM me or post it here if you have some specific questions.
I created a custom them and wanted to know how to put the most recent videos on the homepage.tpl. The instructions in the knowledge base did not work.
